Hi all,
Long time no see, but that has its reasons...
Just heard on BBC- World...
Italian scientists claim that almost all Europeans are the decendents of
just " 10 founding fathers ".
The scientists claim that almost all Europeans are genetic related to those
10 founding fathers. We are one big family...
They also adress the possibility that those founding fathers were not the
famous farmer- gatherers who game to Europe for about 8000 years ago,
but were mush older ( about 40 000 years old).
This means that our genetic ancestors were those peoples who lived in
caves and who were somewhere down the line overpowered by the farmer-
gatherer type. But like their rapport seems to indicate, that is genetical
not the case.
My idea is that our true genetic ancestors " imitated " those farmer-
gatherer types and start of in that manner our history.
Does that have any impact on our understanding of culture and therefor for
our understanding for memetic evolution.
It seems to me that we are carrying a " memetic " legacy that is not really
ours !?
Any suggestions...
Many regards,
Kenneth
( I am, because we are)
