Yes, and also, at least here in the US, 'stand-up' is a form of comedy
performance, and 'stand-up' is the name of the form.
Then again, there is also 'he's a stand-up guy' - meaning one who is
loyal, who will 'stand-up' for you, or 'stand-up' for a principle, as in
standing for the flag, or even, for a lady as she sits for dinner....
