Thanks for posting this.
I guess it has something for everyone, but will make no one happy. The
artifact-meme folks will like the 'feature of a culture' phrase, but dislike
the 'analogous to a gene' phrase. The neural-meme folks will like the gene
anaolgy, but object to 'feature of culture' since they see cultural features
as phenotype.
