A few weeks ago I caught the end of a radio cast about the information
transfer rate among whales. According to the piece a few scientists had
examined whale songs and concluded that if any information was being
transferred it was a rate that was at least 30 times slower than human
speech. I should have written down the scientific journal the results were
being published in but I was in the car. Is anyone else aware of a study of
this sort in the last few months?
