    I think the most popular work on memetics is Neal Stephenson's _Snow Crash_, a work of fiction. After writing _Virus of the Mind_, although I did my best to pepper it with memetic tricks, I realized fiction is more effective. I simultaneously realized I didn't really want people to understand how to design mind viruses all that much.

    I actually have about 200 pages of a novel written but it's on a virtual back shelf while I improve my poker game.
