It's been on HBO several times. I liked it when I saw
it a while ago. I think you're talking about "28 Days
Later" though. Didn't some animal rights people break
into a research facility and thus contribute to the
release of the aggressive zombie virus into the
population of England? It reminded me a little bit of
Charlton Heston's _Omega Man_ especially since there
was a little white guy / black girl sexual tension
thingy going on, which was pretty cool IMO.
I'm looking forward to the next installment of the
Americanize _Ring_ (our version of _Ringu_ series
(spawned from a book trilogy in its native Japan).
There's some contagion sort of undercurrent in the
first movie and especially the original book. I saw
the preview (if you could call it that) before another
movie I was watching and I instantly recognized the
girl from the well and other symbols and the hair
stood up on the back of my neck. I wonder if the new
Americanized movie will explore the Buddhist basis of
the original book, where the mother IIRC saves a
Buddhist ascetic's statue from the ocean and gains
mysterious powers as a result.
It doesn't matter. In May 2005 we get to see Anakin
become Darth Vader, which pretty much trumps anything
else that could possibly happen next year, except
possibly Armageddon (only if it preempts the release
of _Revenge of the Sith_) ;-)
