A book with three case studies exisst which reflects the meme as catalytic indexical argument (though since it was written in 2000 it doies not use those word tokens)

Maasen S. & Weingart P. 2000. Metaphors and the Dynamics of Knowledge. London: Routledge.

The metaphors explored clearly are memes (at least to me) and the case studies meet Bruce's three challenges.
