Hi Raymond,
If I remember correctly, Decety's research is linked to the discovery of
Mirror Neurons by Rizzolati et al, from the University of Parma in Italy.
Here is another ref : Vittorio Gallese, "The manifold nature of interpersonal
relations:
the quest for a common mechanism", Phil. Trans. R. Soc. Lond. B (2003),
Published online 14 February 2003 (I found it on the web) Gallese is a member of
Rizzolati's team.
There are several excellent papers that have been published on that subject.
A Google research with "Mirror Neurons" and Memes or Memetics will lead you to
a lot of them.
