I work in the social sciences/humanities where there's little but obtuse and
obscure language being thrown around all the time, but I've never heard this
at all. Looking it up I see it either refers to a mathematical language
system of some kind or it means ontological.
Ironic that something complaining about the ineffectiveness of a term due to
multiple definitions/understandings of it should offer such a constipated
and pompous form of expression.
Besides, its central point is wrong anyway, meme continues to work as a
marker for debates about cultural evolution and the transmission of cultural
traits in the same way that rugby still works for both victorious world
champion teams displaying incredible ability, like the England team, and
bunches of hopeless, whiney scaredy-cat cry-baby losers like the Australian
team...
