    This is a supposition, it is not a clarity.

    Hauser, here at Harvard, has a very compelling argument against this position, and I, for one, feel it is more compelling than any 'chimps
    _do so_ have culture' argument.

    In many ways, of course, the memeinthemind models are tied axiomatically to the 'chimps have culture' position. This is, again, one of the severe empirical problems with these models.
