Has anyone ever really said that genetics determine psychological
traits? I've seen several satisfying studies showing temperament to be
innate, but is temperament considered a psychological trait?
Being as we are so tied, without possibility of removing the umbilical,
to our societies in order to develop as beings, we homo sapiens
sapiens, innate capacities of the species for behavioral responses need
to be separated from induced or isolated psycho-pathologies, if indeed
such things can really be determined. It may merely be the isolation
from a society that defines such a pathology.
The country stays in the mouse. The city confuses, it doesn't teach.
Do genes confer psychologies? Or do they establish parameters of
behavioral development which can only be approached and controlled by
cultures?
