    I didn't find Dace's Nazion post particularly illuminating nor your biased responses helpful either. Dace comes in with his Chomsky-esque bias against Israel and you retaliate with posts which make essays from the pro-Israeli magazine _Commentary_ look like opinion pieces from the pro-Palestinian
    _Washington Report on Middle East Affairs_ by comparison.

    Your respective biases show through. You are each offering apologia for your own sides. There's no objectivity there, unless one equates their own bias for or against Israel or the Palestinians as the absolute truth. That's why these threads immediately deteriorate into chaos. Instead of dealing in facts, values are injected from the start. I've been as guilty of this as anyone else.

    I can't say I'm with Lawry. If limits are applied they should hold to a post like Dace's also. Should all discussion of anything to do with the middle east be punished? Where shall the limits be drawn?

    I had a decent, but short, discussion about bin Laden and the history of Saudi Arabia with a reference to Bernard Lewis's recent book with Keith Henson recently and neither of us came away with our feathers ruffled.

    I suppose I'll play Switzerland and maintain my neutrality.
