Good question. I sure wouldn't. In fact, I've been trying to make the actions a person takes even more important than the information itself. Now, where did I come up with that?

PS- I'm sure I posted it here, but, a while back, Mini-AIR, the email announcement of the Annal of Irreproducible Results, had a survey of the least read specialty journals, and, lo, practically first among them was our own Journal of Memetics.

So, the list of people who consider memetics useless is, well, rather long. I daresay even those here who defy the founders, or try to actually define the so far undefined and unfound entity itself, do not consider it useless, or they wouldn't be here. Aaron Lynch, in his own way, has already declared the 'meme' useless. Others, despite their well-intentioned popularizing, provide more of a target than a direction.

=============================================================== This was distributed via the memetics list associated with the Journal of Memetics - Evolutionary Models of Information Transmission For information about the journal and the list (e.g. unsubscribing) see: http://www.cpm.mmu.ac.uk/jom-emit
