By your answer, I can see that you do not understand my objection. Let
me try to repeat it, using, as far as possible monosyllabic words.
Writing is one type of performance, speaking another, and miming a
third. They are VERY different performances, yet using any one of
them, a trasmitter, that is, performer, can communicate, that is, transmit,
the same information to an audient, that is, recipient. The information,
therefore must be ENCODED in each performance in differing ways,
rather than being IDENTICAL to differing performances in each case.
