Transmission, baseball and arguments about intentionality

    Is this distinction simlar to the one about intentionality (i.e. human versus machine, when 'meaning' things by an action? Fgs don't go into it though, life is too short.)

    Put simply, is the important distinction here whether a meme caused a change in the environment that caused a meme, or whether the environment
    'alone' was the cause of the meme; i.e. (and back to front)

    'I see a face in a mountain', versus
    'I see a face in Mt Rushmore'...
