Dear co- members, I haven' t got the strenght to let this one pass by.
" Aeroplane grounded by polite greeting "
Een friendly greeting which was misinterpretated by the control tower of the airport of Oakland (Detroit) had major consequences.
On board the copilot was friendly greeted by an acquaintaince with the words
" Hi, Jack ! "
" Hijack " assumed the air traffic controllers and they came without dely in action.
The perplexed pilot did get the order to fly back to the airport where in the mean
time special forces of the police and the FBI were in place.
The misunderstanding was very fast cleared out of the way and everybody
had a good laugh.
" Well " said the superintentent of the police " I like this kind of valse alarms,
it is a good training.No one gets hurt and the plane had just a slight delay. "
A other policeman preticted that in the future man with the name ' Jack '
could be denied to take a job on in aviation.
What is the memetic sense of this all !?
A founder effect !?
In which direction would the evolution of that new lineage go !?
Which may be the differences to the original plans to overcome a situation of
hijack !?
What about the meaning of words in memetics !?
What does that learn us about the use of language !?
