It is not evidence of _evolution_, only that the organism itself is capable of adapting by utilizing different 'circuits' if you will, but none of these things are physical, genetic, organism-level, changes.

The human has a brain that is capable of the complexities of self-consciousness. Such a brain has many solutions for many problems, and it is a dynamically functioning organ, not a pre-wired and unadaptable microchip.

I think I see where we differ. You are using the word organism to mean a species as a whole and I am using it to mean individuals in a species. To me, a person is an organism. The species as a whole is greater than an organism. Changes that take place within an individual are changes to the organism. Genetic changes are changes to the species. I guess we're just using the terms differently.
