    We expect the Venezuelans to take our advice to hurry up their election cycle, I assume (or else there is not much point in meddling in their affairs), but I wonder how seriously we would take a suggestion from the Venezuelans that we re-do our election of 2000, on the grounds that Bush received fewer votes than Gore, that there is an estimated 5% census undercount of black voters (upon which House representation is based), and that black voting precincts had 'difficulties' in Florida.

    What is sauce for the goose must be sauce for the gander. Except, I suppose, for a goose who considers himself better than all others and above the law.
