    Fan is way too far a stretch. But I did vote for him, mostly because, as I recall, the contender on the democrat side was more abominable.

    Then again, lots of people voted for him, with a strong swing over from the democratic camp. One of the most liberal people I've ever met, a raving environmentalist and activist, voted for him. So I guess he had many fans.

    Don't answer the question of where is he now?, but it does raise the interesting spectre of why no democrat has sat in the guvn'r's mansion here for quite a while.
