Jeremy, I have wondered from time to time just what the total aid we give to Israel might be, and have found no satisfactory listing.

    Several accounting questions:
-- Should the private donations of US pro-Israeli citizens to Israel be counted? Much of the donations are done through tax-exemption US organizations, and so are subsidized by the US.
-- Should US citizens purchases of Israeli bonds be included? I do not know the financial history of these bonds, but wonder if tax-deductible losses can be claimed.
-- Should the value of in-kind services from the US to Israel be included? E.g. Signal intelligence?
-- Should the financial value of preferential trade regulations be counted?

    This list could be longer.

    Best regards, Lawry
