> Ted
>
Like any bully, Ted is also a craven coward; he will talk ABOUT me (or
his deluded straw-man construct of me), but not TO me (when he says
that 'we're' trying to deal with me, I wonder if his pet cat is in the room,
for I do not see anyone else eager to sidle up to Ted's flank and enlist
in his petty little vendetta against me) . I am indeed intolerant of
intolerance, be it religious (as in Radical Islam or Fundamentalist
Christianity) or ideological and pseudoscientific (as in morphic
resonance or Marxist economic theory).
A comparison of Zen Buddhism and existential phenomenology is
indeed within the purview of this list, as is any study of the contrasts
between differing ideologies (read memeplexes); their respective
natures are highlighted by such comparisons. I have previously
submitted two other such studies here, comparing Christianity with
Marxism, and comparing Patriarchal Monotheism with NeoPaganism,
and have also offered other studies here, namely THE MEMETIC
STANCE, A SHORT PHILOSOPHY OF HISTORY, TOWARD A VIRION
ETHICS and TOOLS, LANGUAGE AND TEXT, all of which have to do
in some measure with memes.
My discussions here have not been evasive; far from it - they have
sometimes been criticized fro being overly blunt, but when confronted
with a persistent jackass such as Ted one sometimes must result to the
2x4-to the-head approach. And I have no difficulty discussing
psychopathology, particularly Ted's psychological projection of his own
character traits upon me - and anyone who's been around here for a
while saw those very character traits amply and abundantly exhibited in
his rantig raving screeds about Sheldrakeanism , which he appropriated
and in which he invested his emotional capital and his sense of self-
worth, for lack of anything original of his own to offer.
