So you don't buy the crater of doom argument?
I thought that argument had been done and dusted with the discovery of the
crater in the gulf of mexico? (I was going to attempt to write it but I
can't remember where the x goes).
Actually, thinking about it, I remember hearing something about that crater
being out by two million years or so on the time of the mass extinction, and
that it was more to do with massive vulcanism in India (or rather what
subsequently became India).
Having said that, I thought there was still a mystery over why the fish
(amongst others) didn't suffer a mass extinction at the same time.
I'd agree totally with your point on the 'primeval language' argument
though.
