I mean the words one way and you say I mean them in another way. If you want to pick nits, go right ahead. I explained more clearly what I meant while you latched on to four words out of a paragraph and tried to make something I never meant out of them. The words I used were meant to express a different idea than the one you attribute to them. If I erred, big deal! I explained it in the following post.

What I said did not reflect what I was asserting. So sue me! My point was that people profess to be Christian (and thus use the words of Christ, not in the sense of saying them but in the sense of using them to assert their supposedly Christian beliefs) while they simultaneously act in an unChristian manner. I admit there were two possible ways to read those words and you chose the one that suited your purpose. However that did not reflect the way I meant them. Grabbing isolated words out of someone's post to shoot down their assertions is a trick you often use when you can't find a well grounded argument to do the job. I usually take it with a few grains of salt.

    Cheers,

    Grant
