I experimented with the highly commercial self-described "prank"
website that the "Happy Halloween" message on the MMU memetics
mailing list pointed to, and it has one interesting twist --
the "personal message" you are invited to supply doesn't seem to
be included, (hence nobody would have gotten my disclaimer).
Oh, well, that's what happens sometimes, experiments blow up in
your face. I'm sorry for any annoyance or inconvenience I may have
caused you.
All faults aside, it is still a good bad example of a memetic flower.
Bad, I mean -- evil -- but a good example of that evil, I think.
I wonder if it isn't actually illegal. It's essentially a chain letter, isn't it?

P.S. I shudder to think what replies I might get back if people take that last line as being my own. dpw
