Hi Darek
I don't think that memes have 'process', you need to also look at the
subject of 'mimesis'. It is the study of the 'process' of acquiring culture
through copying behaviours; linguistics included.
Memetics is, in my opinion, a study which gropes for identity at the
interface between the worlds of ideas, actions, artefacts and pink
unicorns, I'm sure you will enjoy our company.
