Me too. He was one of the great science authors of our time. _Ontogeny and
Phylogeny_ and _Wonderful Life_ are among my favorites, difficult as they
are.
Hearing of his death hit me kinda like when I heard about Phil Hartman, a
comedian I admired and respected, passing on several years ago. They both
were talented folks in their chosen pursuits and will be missed by me.
