    Actually, there are several theories of truth - the most common are the
    correspondence theory, the coherence theory, and the deflationary theory.
    Tarski asserted that truth is just the assertion of the sentence that is
    true (snow is white iff "snow is white" is true). This is called
    Convention T, and it is this that Popper appealed to. A more recent theory
    is the "revision theory" that a sentence is true if any logical revision
    results in it being true in that arbitrary model.
