    I just had a thought today about something similar, whilst tuning my guitar.
    why do we have a 12 tone scale.? We can perceive all sorts of gradation in the
    frequency of sound waves? what sort of memes are these? no time to expound my
    full hypotheses here, but I do want to hear you explain the above passage.
