Steve Jones, apart from being a leading academic in the UK, has a high media
profile through his very successful and highly acclaimed TV series 'Tha
Language of the Genes' (and book of the same name), and more recently his
updated version of the origin of species, which was called 'Almost Like A
Whale' in the UK, but something entirely different in the US although I
forget what (potential jokes abound but I shall resist in the interests of
transatlantic relations).
Doesn't mean he's not a jerk though...
