Hi Grant,
In the heat of the moment, either I made myself not clear, or you did mis-
understood me. I agree with what you have written, except the fact that
the memes they cling onto are a thousand years old.
IMO, the problem started in 1948 when Israel was founded, neither the
Jews nor the Palestinians have something to say into the matter_ the memes
they adopt now, moderate and live by were not existing before 1948 !
OTOH, founding a Jewish state in the middle of Arab country, what were
those guys thinking.....!?
And from there on, the problems stay the same. Would the war end if
Israel would give back the pieces of land !? I wonder !
Memes on both side are in overdrive- mode, they will NOT stop to try
to propagate themselves in the way they are doing now !
But you are right, like Wade said, the memes can do no harm, people
who are hosts to them are.
Maybe, we the outside world, would give both sides a ferm warning, but
I doubt that this would bring any good.
The outside pressure, in casu the US in supporting Israel, is to great.
IMO, the solution for the problem lies within both sides and in the US !
In all three cases, their behaviour are acts according to their memes,
since 1948 the war and the deaths are consequences of memetic
features, and IMO, still and I repeat, NOT caused by the people of
Israel or by the Palestinians, but by us, the " free world " of 1948 and
beyond....
Regards,
Kenneth
