On 05/18/00 12:01, Vincent Campbell said this-

    >If I threw a ball at you and you caught it, what would you need to believe
    >in to attempt to catch it?

That it would hurt me if it hit me, or that by catching it I'd be assured
it wouldn't hurt me, or that you cared if I caught it or not.

If I didn't believe something about that ball besides its physical
reality, then I'd just let it hit the ground.
