    Didn't realise. It's from Oath Of fealty by Niven and Pournelle. Its an Sf
    novel regarding enclvaves as a way of living. Not quite the gated
    communities that are springing up around the US/UK, but are a good idea of
    where such things could lead. An example of evolution in action is the
    annual Darwin awards for those who have selflessly cleansed themselves from
    the gene pool by dying of stupidity.
