Hi all,
Reading the link which Wade provided us, ( thanks), I remerber that in
French, most of the " negative " things are female,
la mort, la jaloesie, (une) agression, la haine, une catastrophe, la tristesse,
la depression, la maladie, une larme, la violence,...la solitude
Look than at those ( positive, male)
honneur ( honour)
courage
accident ( not that negative, simply bad luck)
sport
(un) espoir ( hope)
Maybe there are more, but these just popped up in my head.....
I consider this to have some meaning though.... !!!
Neither I see here that this would give small effects.
Does anyone knows if this give cultural or social complications !?
How do French males see French females for example !?
Interesting stuff, although some positive things are female, la force, la
sagesse,....
In Dutch most of the negative ones are neuter....
Many regards,
Kenneth
