Purposes of the list

• To put forward and discuss new approaches to modelling economic phenomena (i.e. not the mainline traditional ones).
• To pass on relevant information about papers, conferences, special isssues, journals etc. of interest to those attempting to further alternative approaches to economic modelling.
• To publicise attempts to censor alternative ideas or thwart those espousing them because of the fact that it contradicts the orthodoxy of economics.
• To further criticism and discussion of all aspects of modelling economic phenomena (including the alternatives).

Posting to the list

To post to the list, so that your contribution is automatically distributed to all list members e-mail it to camrec@mmu.ac.uk (assuming you have already subscribed).

Posting anymously to the list

The list software automatically strips all headers from your post, so if you want to be anonymous make sure you do not include a signature at the end of your e-mail. So to post anonymously follow the instructions for normal posting but delete any signature before sending.

Subscribing and unsubscribing

The reason we insist on subscribing to the mailing list before posting is that otherwise you get a lot of Spam (advertising, junk e-mail, etc.). However we will not reveal the e-mail addresses of those who are subscribed and the software is configured so that it will not reveal this information on request.

To subscribe to the list send the command subscribe camrec to the list managing address: fmb-majordomo@mmu.ac.uk in the body of the e-mail (please do not include a signature).

To unsubscribe send the command unsubscribe camrec to the list managing address: fmb-majordomo@mmu.ac.uk in the body of the e-mail (please do not include a signature).

Anti-spam e-mail addresses

Please note that anti-spam e-mail adresses (such as adding obviously wrong characters into the "reply to:" header, e.g. b.edmonds@NO-SPAM.mmu.ac.uk) will confuse the majordomo software, both in terms of subscribing and in terms of posting to camrec.
