Following an informal workshop in Manchester in 2012, and a special track of papers at ESSA 2013 in Warsaw, a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the European Social Simulation Association has formed. The topic is broadly how to use qualitative data (mostly text transcripts from what people say) to inform the specification of agent-based social simulations.
