I wouldn't get too worried that the field will turn into "memetic
masturbation." The word leaps out of the screan at you, and gets people
talking about specifics. But the NHSLS data can also be re-analyzed to look
for reproduction correlations of other sexual behaviors and taboos. And
extensive longitudinal propagation data exist for Mormonism, a religious
meme set.
