    After the lengthy back and forth on alt.memetics, Aaron Lynch posted a gracious sum up of where we left the discussion.


    "Anyway, I doubt that serious harm will follow if you and I take somewhat different definitions of the word "meme," with you using yours among the computer literate, etc. and me advocating mine to empirical and quantitative researchers. The two versions may just make multiple definitions listed in a dictionary some day. Your definition does not even contradict anything in my lay readable book, either--as you mentioned earlier in the discussion."
