Shape us? Yes. Use us? No. We bend ourselves around the keyboard to type our texts until we, ourselves, become bent in the process. We wiggle our fingers and pull our tendons back and forth until we become crippled with carpel tunnel syndrome. But it's not the will of the keyboard we end up thus. They get no benefit from our pain. And they, of course, feel no pain.
