Modeling R&D Strategy as a Network Search Problem
6 Conclusion
A model of technological innovation based on network search has been exhibited. This model is credible in that it encodes some aspects of technological context-dependence which is initially unknown to the agents. The model is sufficiently expressive to encapsulate many of the issues of technological innovation and so can be used as a focal point for a language of discourse on the subject. Further, based on preliminary experiments, the model seems to behave in a way which fits actual observations of such innovation.
