This sub-release of 3.4 provides two (fairly minor) changes: 1) The navigator has a facility to start displaying the tree at an arbitrary page (instead of having to start at the top of the navigation hierarchy). This facility is supported by options in the navigator's "View" pull-down menu (which has been renamed from "Options") to start the tree at the selected page or to start higher up. If it is required to show a page that is not within the start page (e.g. because a hypertext link to such a page is clicked on) the start page is automatically changed to a page which it is within. 2) Drag and drop of text is now supported. If a piece of text is selected in a text pane, and the user holds down the left mouse button within the selection, that text can be dragged. The text can be dropped into any editable text pane within a navigator. Holding down the control key ensures that the text is copied rather than moved. Note that text can be dragged from non-navigator text panes or from read-only text panes, but it cannot be dropped on such panes; furthermore, such text is always copied when it is dropped. The cursor changes during the drag to indicate whether it can be dropped, and if so whether it would be copied or moved.
