And many, including myself, would say, 'if it is nature, then there is
strong evidence for a genetic determinant' and we would leave memes out
of it entirely.

Yes?

A prime debate here is whether memes are necessary for anything at all.
At the moment, I am decidedly on the side of those who say they ain't.
