The birds are used hypothetically for the purpose of illustration. If the
facts turn out not to fit the illustration, then we should still understand
the intended illustration. The rest is tangent.
Alas, I have frequently had the problem in this list of flaming on such a
basis derailing the discourse. I believe this to be deliberate. And we
should all see through such tactics. The problem, I believe, is Sociological
and Behavioral. I think that we should, by all means, talk about things that
others might not want us to.
