Yes, I can follow the derivation you give of that. The difference with mine
is that you allow for unlimited social mobility, whereas I was limiting
upward mobility of workers to the vacancies in the upper class caused by the
shortfall in upper class reproduction. It should be interesting to see how
the different models compare in simulation. Your original model
>P' = ( ( P * (1-D) ) * Rp ) + ( ( W * D ) * Rw )
>W' =( ( W * (1-D) ) * Rw ) + ( ( P * D ) * Rp )
had D as a constant for both worker and professional populations, which I
think we have to replace with Dup and Ddown in your new model.
