For those who are new to this list, I will point out that Chris Lofting's
posting of material from my web site on April 30 [Subject: Dichotomisations
(e.g. vertical/horizontal, Astrology et al)] is what got the discussion of
astrology memes started on this list. See also my archived posting from May
22 (RE: astrology-talk behavior), and of course my book _Thought
Contagion_. My Japanese friend will read _Thought Contagion_ in English and
Japanese, so there was no urgency to explaining my real views on the
subject. Besides, I don't think she is even very serious about astrology.
My posting of 6 hours ago was meant on the lighter side.
