Very interesting. What does 'adoption' imply in this context?
To me it seems like behaviour. I look forward to reading Dennett on
this.
Besides, you make an awareness/belief distinction and you have
them both as instantiated memory units sitting serially (yes, you do,
look at your equations)
That's not an awareness/adoption distinction.

A sure sign you are losing the argument. Especially since you
have raised so many points which lead me to believe you have effectively
abandoned the position you take in your 1998 paper.
First and foremost, you have abandoned the calculus of mnemon
instantiations, or at the very least you have buried it under a ton of
qualifications. You now wish it to be a calculus of behavioural events
or an expanded calculus of both behaviour and mental units. Either way,
its original form is dead and gone. You are now fudging the issue of
what is stored in brains and how. You failed to answer my request that
you phrase your baseball paragraph in the said calculus.
Have your conversations with Dennett and Hull led you to this
change of mind? Have they made some of the same criticisms that I have?
Derek
