This statement may confuse our newest list members, but there is nothing
mysterious here. Derek has merely left off the URL of the 'meme lab' web
page.
It is http://www.memes.org.uk/meme-lab/WELCOME.HTM
>Ball in your court, mentalists.
This looks like inappropriate name calling. A mentalist is one who believes
that the objects of knowledge have no existence except in the mind of the
perceiver, or alternately, a "psychic mind reader." The term does not apply
to one who merely asserts the existence of neurally stored information
(replicated or otherwise).
Name calling aside, it is nice to see that your work is not, in fact,
"retarded" by the emergence of thought contagion theory.
In any case, the empirical investigation of replicating neurally stored
information will owe nothing to a behaviorist saying "ball in your court."
Such work was already being proposed.
