But you seem here to be assuming that the message exists originally as a
semantic entity. This is very seldom the case. Often it exists as an
astract formulation or relationship and is only translated into words
expressly /for the purpose of transmission/. This is the point at which I
see the dictates of form (packaging) as effecting function (message).
