Subject: Readings suggestions

Dear Memetics Listers:

I am teaching a course called Philosophy, Science, and Culture in the Spring
term of 1998. I would like to introduce memetics to students. Could anyone
suggest a single reading or short set of readings, preferably short and in
essay or article form (or chapter from a book), that introduces memetics etc.
Keep in mind this is an upper level undergraduate course.

Additional query: has anyone used "Thought Contagion" in undergraduate
courses?? I would be interested to hear how it went over with students.

Thank you for your help and advice.
