ESSA call for nominations for the Management Committee

Welcome to the second ESSA newsletter. Membership has continued to grow steadily. ESSA now has around 80 members. Thanks to those who have recommended colleagues to join. Continue to do so! It is now time to begin the appointment of a Management Committee (MC). We have aimed to make this process simple yet democratic and transparent. The MC will comprise fourteen officers:

The call is now open for nominations. Our objective is to fully launch ESSA by the start of next year. We propose the following timetable:

Conditions for nominations

Any member of ESSA may propose another member for a post. Members can not propose either themselves or those who are not members of ESSA. Nominees should have sufficient experience and standing to effectively carry out the role. The decision of the current acting Management Committee is final regarding disputes concerning eligibility criteria.

How to make a nomination

To nominate a fellow ESSA member for a particular post you need to fill in the online Nomination Form. Please remember to contact the individual before proposing them.

The ESSA discussion list

Regrettably we have had some problems with the ESSA e-mail discussion list over the last week or so. Hopefully normal service will resume soon - please accept our apologies if this has caused you any problems. For information about the list see ESSA Newsletter 1
