What did we learn?

• The notion of a community of practice and you are in it - it seems we can indeed agree on the bleedingly obvious:
  • Inter-annotator agreement on adjacency pairs - 95% (bit dull but)
• The CA literature has lots of discussion on how and when it is ok to use introspection:
  • Avoid "codings" or classes, or speech-act types ...
  • Embrace the "what is done" by an utterance
• CA methodology quickly puts the focus on detail - not so good at big picture stuff
